Top Sigma Nu : Had a large pledge class last year and threw often. While the actual chapter house isn’t the nicest, the large basement makes it super popular even on weeknights. Lots of portland area kids with a fair amount of Southern California influence. Great relationship w lambda last year. Lambda: Another large pledge class last year, feels as though a majority of these kids are from Southern California. No chapter house is a detractor but their parties typically fill up. Their live outs are conducive to large parties, and helps to make up for the lack of a chapter house Fiji: Although a somewhat weak fall pc, Fiji still threw sizeable parties and pulled solid members in the spring. They have a chapter house in a prime location near campus. Threw great darties last year. Lots of Bay Area kids in this fraternity. Was actually second in grades spring term. Sigma Chi: Last year started out strong but then didn’t throw as regularly. The chapter house was already very nice and is being remodeled once more before this year so that should be an attraction. Lot of portland area kids, usually pulls solid number of people. Upper Mid DSig Not the strongest pledge class last year but threw some good parties last year nonetheless. This fraternity definitely has plenty of “groupies” that always show out to their events. Not a great chapter house, but very close to campus. SAE First year of disaffiliated from IFC last year and still pulled solid numbers for fall pc. Didn’t throw as often as fraternities such as lambda and signu but still had some solid functions nonetheless. Chapter house is a huge attribute and it’s one of the nicest with sigma chi’s. Asig Like sae, asig disaffiliated last year. They had success considering this fact and being disaffiliated payed dividends during spring term when they could throw without fear of IFC when the police cracked down on parties after the spring game. Think they are losing the animal house next year though, so could take a large hit. Mid Theta Chi This fraternity has a house in a nice area not too far off campus. Last year they had some success, not pulling the largest parties but did much better on nights when larger fraternities were not throwing. Definitely moved up last year. Pike They were similar to theta chi last year in the fact that they excelled when larger fraternities were not throwing. Definitely moved up last year and had a few large-ish darties. DTD Didn’t throw too often last year. Very focused on grades so overall a very academic fraternity. Lots of girls do love going to their parties as it’s a different vibe then some of the harder partying ones. Lower mid Kappa Sigma Ksig was disaffiliated last year just like SAE and asig. They didn’t pull many members during the fall but still managed to throw some solid events. Believe they got a decent winter and spring pc and are on the path to rebuilding with a bright future. Beta They were first in grades spring term. Small fraternity numbers wise but had a nice house although far from campus. Really not the place if one is looking for a larger fraternity but does have some functions. I don’t have enough knowledge about the other smaller houses to give a fair depiction of their “status” on campus so it would be unfair of me to try
