When you go through PHC rush and accept a bid, you are saying you are willing to live in 2 years at the given sorority. That is a PHC standard. HOWEVER, many sororities do not have a two year live in requirement, because they have enough members already each pledge class. For some, like Sigma Kappa, DZ, and Theta, they don't have enough members each year, or enough living in for whatever reason, so they will have you commit to two years. Other houses, like Pi Phi, KKG, and KD, etc. do not require two years because their beds are filled each year.
