To all the PNMs reading these posts about rankings, tiers, etc,. just disregard them. At the end of the day, you are the one who is going to be spending the next four years with the group of girls that you pick, so why should anyone else's opinion matter except your own? Each house has girls who like to go out and party every weekend, girls who are very studious and don't go out at all, and girls in between. Pick the house that makes you comfortable, and you can see yourself making friendships and memories with. A few of my friends ended up getting bids from "top houses" and they later ended up regretting it because it ended up not being what they wanted. I also have friends who ended up getting bids from "bottom tier" houses. While they were completely devasted on bid day, they stuck with it, and are now really glad they ended up where they are. How each house is perceived can be very inaccurate because these are opinions from the outside looking in. How is anybody supposed to know exactly what every house is like? At the end of the day, the experience you have in greek life is what you make it out to be. Gain leadership experience by running for a position within in your house, be the one your sisters can always depend on for advice, or be a frat groupie. You do whatever is going to make you happy, and that starts by going through recruitment with an unbiased opinion. Some houses may completely surprise you, either good or bad, after the first round. You do you, boo.
