if you got dropped by every house that is not on greek life. Just because you have a good GPA does not make you automatically an actual candidate. Sororities (for the most part) recruit on values and presence, not much else gets takin into account. Our campus is limited on sororities and maybe your values and/or morals simply didn't align with any of high point's sororities. every sorority HAS met every girl, yes it's virtual but how is anyone supposed to "meet" or approve girls in person through any way except zoom during this time? This was an ignorant post about greek life. All houses drop people every year and usually girls who are dropped have been reported to panhellenic for harassment, bullying, etc prior to recruitment. It is unfair to say "before they've met anyone" because there's a global pandemic and high point is strict with their pre-cautions. So is every sorority supposed to accept every girl because it's on zoom? No; and to expect that would be an entitled and unrealistic assumption. I am sorry you did not get asked back to the houses you wanted, however do not blame it on the girls. Sometimes new members simply do not mesh with any of the greek organizations we have (as i mentioned we only have 6, it's very limited) on the high point campus. I would absolutely try again next year and maybe not act so cavalier when going through recruitment. Just saying. I hope that this pandemic os over for recruitment last year and that you get your chance to prove your point.
