It's just weeks before recruitment and so it's time for every sorority girl who is insecure to go on to Greek Rank and bad mouth other sororities to make theirs look good. Newsflash, it doesn't make yours look good. It just makes it seem like we have some serious animosity on campus, which really isn't the case. New girls - please don't succumb to these rankings. Go in to recruitment with an open mind and see where YOU are most comfortable in. If you go into rounds and think you are better than the girls in the room around you because of gossip you heard on campus in the few short weeks you've been here, then you are doing yourself a disservice. You only go through recruitment once as a new member, keep it enjoyable and have FUN meeting everyone. The greek life at ODU really is a great community. And to be honest, yes, there is some competitiveness but most everyone is supportive of each other and gets along. You just have these few outliers who like to bad mouth others to make themselves feel better. I'm sure there will be some people who don't like this post or will comment negative things about it. But it's the truth. Have fun this recruitment period, it goes way too quickly and you'll be thankful that you went in with an open mind and without any preconceived notions of where you belong.\n\n\n\n\n
