You're not that wrong. Some girls get a really good experience out of this, some are socially shunned by their sisters. You could say all chapters have these problems, but there's definitely a "who's in and who's out" mentally in this group. Roommate was a Theta. She lasted 6 months. Her big stopped talking to her and she never made positions or committees, even though she always volunteered to help. I would advise with caution, but give it a chance. If the honeymoon phase of being a new member doesn't last, I'd drop.
