Not all sororities do informal. And out of those who do it's not always an open rush. If a chapter has less than 8-10 spots they sometimes will do invite-only and just invite friends of girls already in the chapter so they get their pick of the litter. Also keep in mind that informal is almost more competitive than fall because you aren't guaranteed a house, so it may benefit you to wait
