like i get that it happens but i also feel like why me. everyone would be lying if they said sorority recruitment is solely about conversation or personality (please don't try i have family in greek life who know how it goes) but obviously conversation or personality is very important. i'm not someone who would be discriminated based on "stereotypical" appearance or material background AND i think that's a super small factor at nyu considering how diverse everyone is trying to be and is. so like what, my personality is just less appealing or more boring or doesn't standout compared to my friends who got all 7 bids? lol i got dropped by all of them and in some breakout rooms i didn't even have a chance to really talk for more than 2 minutes so what does that even represent. they're not doing a randomized number generator so clearly if i was dropped by all of them (which are each different levels of open minded and personality) there's something generally unlikeable abt me
