Can someone please provide a relatively detailed explanation of the costs of being in a sorority at NYU? Estimates are fine but I don't think they are as high as what my friends are paying at other schools but don't know for sure. I know there are new member fees & monthly (or semesterly?) dues, but what else is there? My friends in sororities at big schools in the south pay quite a lot, but they have houses and everything is included in their monthly bills (including dues, all the t shirts, mixers, etc.) so they don't have unexpected out of pocket expenses. I'm trying to convince my parents that being in a sorority at NYU won't be an extreme financial burden on top of the already insane cost of attendance. Thanks in advance!
