It doesn't consume your whole life like it would in the south. It's mostly just for the social life, and everyone's pretty much friends with everyone. That being said the bottom houses have a lot of unattractive and/or very overweight girls who they hide from social media. That becomes a problem for frats when they have mixers and it isn't just the 15 girls from the tumblr or ig, it's the whole house.
