it's not like the top houses don't hold rush at all. Better fraternities may have a few (10-15) bids lined up before rush starts, but any fraternity that would treat rush in the way you make it seem would just be dumb, because there are hella cool kids that don't do anything recruitment or fraternity related until rush comes around. That being said, you seem pretty jilted that you didn't get your bid from one or several of those houses. I don't know who you rushed, but if you went out all week and didn't get a call from any of them, that probably means none of them thought you fit in well.
