Pursued them until pretty much the end, and they were super nice to me during the first few rounds but I had the same apprehensions as you. I ended up pledging a lower tier sorority and couldn't be happier. Everyone focuses so much on tiers but once you're in the sorority it really doesn't matter that much. I guess it all depends on what you're looking for. I preferred to be with a bunch of genuine girls and hang out with the frats where I don't have to worry about creepy dbags. But with choosing that path I lost "popularity" but this isn't high school it doesn't matter if I sit with the cool kids during lunch. Everyone says be yourself and trust the system. A lot of PNMs don't listen to that and end up getting hurt. But it's honestly the best advice that anyone can offer you. You'll end up where you're supposed to be even if it doesn't seem evident at first. Idk sorry about the little rant.
