Most sororities rank on a scale of 1-10. Let's say that in open house, you talk to 3 girls and one gives you a 1, one gives you a 5 and one gives you a 10, those points average out to 5.33. So, 5.33 would be added to your score. Then comes in the concept of pre-scoring. I'm not sure how all sororities do it, but in mine, you get a few points for having rec letters, being recommended by a girl in the sorority, being a legacy, etc. Lets say each of these things is worth 2 points and you have all 3 of these qualities. Your pre-score would be 6 before you even start the round. So, add those 5.33 points onto the 6 you had before rush even started and your total number of points after open house is 11.33. Sororities generally have a threshold of points that it takes to get called back, discussed, and cut. So let's say the max points someone has after a round is 30, girls from 20-30 will be called back, girls with 10-20 will be discussed, and girls with under 10 will be dropped. The points add on after each round. Most sororities have a similar system to this, even if it is not exactly how they do it.
