Every sorority has different ask back requirements, though. For example, AGD is required to ask back more girls than DG because historically girls tend to rank DG higher than AGD and therefore more girls will try to go back to DG. If upper tier sororities had the same ask back requirements as the lower tiers rush wouldn't be nearly as cutthroat. There's a reason more girls go back to AOPi than Pi Phi. My friend in DDD told me that panhel wouldn't let them cut as many girls as most of the other sororities could because they didn't have a history of how many girls tended to want to come back to them. Basically, the sororities that are historically in higher demand tend to cut more liberally earlier on than those that aren't because panhel lets them. I remember going through recruitment and I went to both DG and ADPi for philanthropy round and DG's round had significantly less girls than ADPi's (for the record I didn't join either of them).
