Just a reminder that sorority recruitment is a constantly shifting math problem designed to maximize parity between the sororities. If 100 girls are going through recruitment and there are 5 chapters, recruitment is designed to put 20 girls in each chapter. If girls drop, the maximum number each chapter can take drops too. Mutual selection is strongly weighted on the sorority’s side - no matter how much you love a chapter, you will not meet with a chapter during formal recruitment if you are not on their number-limited invite list. Having a “great conversation” does not mean you are getting invited back - it means you met a girl that is great at small talk. That girl is having great conversations with probably a 100 other girls, and her sorority can only take about 50. PLEASE DO YOUR RESEARCH ON HOW RECRUITMENT WORKS. Hundreds of girls get upset every year because they take recruitment personally when it is just a numbers game. It is not the same as when your mom was in college. Tell her not to raise a fuss on the Miami parents page. It’s a bad look. All the sororities here are strong and active. All do socials and mix with frat guys. All have formals and big/little and philanthropy events. You can have a great experience in any chapter at Miami. But it is only as good as the effort you put into it. Give every chapter a fair look. Stick with the process. And good luck.
