Serious here. All bids are given to kids who are known ahead of time/are on the fraternity lists/those who know other kids from sports/high school, etc. I have not heard or know anyone who got a bid after never being to the house/not knowing anyone but showing up to rush. Public Service Announcement to freshman/sophomores looking to rush: Unless you know the kids from the fraternity rush ahead of time (i.e. kids from high school, been to multiple parties and they want you, you know you're on the list, etc.) don't bother showing up to rush. You will not get a bid.
