As much as people want to disagree about rankings and we can argue about them for days on end and not come up with one that everyone agrees with, the underlying message here is great. Shoot high when it comes to rushing fraternities without having been recruited anywhere, because it's understandable some guys just never make it around anywhere for whatever reason first semester. The important thing to understand its 10 times more important to rush and join a fraternity than to be a GDI. Your overall college experience will be exponentially better no matter where you join. Like the guy before me said, don't put all your eggs in one basket either. It sucks to see a kid suicide rush, get dinged, and have nowhere else to go once rush is over and be stuck. So yes, take a chance and go for one of the really good fraternities if you want, but don't get discouraged if you don't get a bid. Just keep trying at different fraternities and you'll find a fit guaranteed. Just remember, guys might rip on other fraternities all the time, but nothing is worse than a GDI
