Sorry if I misunderstood your point, but I am still not sure I get it. Is your point that the old members would be rushing underground and have a hard time recruiting and would therefore die off, or is your point that the group recolonizing with national and university support/recognition will have a hard time recruiting and therefore die off? It would seem to me that having national and university recognition would not make them underground rushing and haven't many other fraternities been restarted at Miami after social suspensions etc. successfully e.g. theta chi, beta, sigma chi, sae etc.?
