I showed up to initiation in rags. Yes, rags. Well, okay, that was a slight exaggeration, but it was pretty terrible. My whites didn't match, my hair was a mess and I would describe my attire that day as completely disheveled. In fact, I had to borrow white shoes from a fellow sister because I didn't--it's completely obvious who I am. Because I'm pretty sure that I, oblivious to the girls snarling at me on the other side of the room, was just a little too confident. Needless to say, I am no longer associated with this sorority. They don't care that I think about this decision every day. They don't care about who I am going to be in twenty years. They don't and they never will. The only thing they care about is who I was and when they think of me, they'll remember that girl who was on academic probation for two semesters in a row.
