I'm not sure what sorority the above poster is talking about where they tried to vote her out, but most aren't like that. My sorority has a GPA requirement and if you don't meet it, you just lose some social privileges and they make you do an "academic plan" which involves going to study tables so many times, etc. We also have sisters who volunteer to tutor others in classes they have already taken. If you're having trouble, our standards committee and academics chair are incredibly flexible and willing to work with you, you just have to keep open communication with them. I have a neurological disorder that's invisible - you would have no idea unless I told you, but it does cause me a lot of problems. Its considered a disability. If I were going through recruitment, I personally would not want to mention it. I wouldn't be embarrassed or anything like that, but I just wouldn't want that to be the impression they have of me. I would prefer they judge me on my personality, grades, etc. If that makes sense.
