Especially if you're only a freshman, it is much better to drop than to stay in a house where you aren't happy. Remember that sophomores sometimes actually have an advantage in recruitment - you're older, but you also have a ton of friends on the inside pulling for you and speaking up on your behalf. And you have a much better feel of what each house is really like and whether or not it would be a good fit. So, if you have realized that the women in your house are NOT the women you want to surround yourself with for the next 4 years, please don't be afraid to re-evaluate. Reach out to some of the older girls in your house and tell them that you're struggling, and they'll either be supportive and talk through your concerns, or they'll threaten and intimidate you to try to prevent you from dropping. Their reaction will help you to know if it's the right place for you. Also, while you may not be happy where you ended up, that could have been someone else's dream house. By acknowledging that it's not for you and dropping, you could give them the opportunity to COB someone who desperately wanted to be there.
