Why do people keep bringing up Clemson LIFE? This is a program for young adults with intellectual and physical disabilities to participate in the joys of belonging in sorority life. They are by no means fully fledged members unfortunately because many sororities require active members to be degree seeking full time students. In my opinion, the solution is that the virtual round is done away with and that PNMS and actives alike get the experience to meet every girl in person, whether that is during a first round party or even an involvement fair/tabling event. Look ar Auburn Panhellenic, which is the same as Clemson as far as having no houses. They did NOT do virtual rounds and returned to traditional rush of doing water ice tea parties for the first round. I graduated in 2023 so when I was a freshman, I got to experience meeting every single house. I wasn’t popular and graduated in a class of 15 people who didn’t go through rush at all. Even though I wasn’t popular, dirty rushed, or even knew a person in the sororities, I still got the FULL Panhellenic experience of meeting every house! How are actives or PNMS supposed to decide on anything but shallow Instagram videos and greekrank when they don’t have the chance to meet in person? I feel bad for everyone who started college 2020 onward— you have been cheated of the full Panhellenic experience. I feel sorry for the popular girls too who don’t get to experience the sisterhood bond of the “bottom” houses just because they cut them after video rounds. End of rant lol
