Subject:
Rushing as a sophomore/maybe junior??

Poster Message:
So I am currently a sophomore at community college transferring to Clemson in the fall. I'm an engineering major with a pretty decent college GPA, however with the way that my credits transfer, I will have to be at Clemson for 3 years which makes me academically a sophomore again, class of '24. I want honest opinions on what it's like to rush as a sophomore (what are my chances of getting a bid, will a lot of houses drop me just because I'm older... etc). I also would love if someone could tell me whether they'd be viewing me as a sophomore (since I technically will be) or a junior. Lastly, will I need letters of rec? And if I do does anyone know where to get these from? All my friends in sororities are actives, not alumnae so they cannot write me letters. I am also from Chicago so I don't have many connections in SC, at Clemson specifically. Joining a sorority is something I definitely would have done if I was able to go to a university right after high school like all my friends (unfortunately it was not my choice to go to community college, family things). I would love to be able to experience greek life, I feel like that was something that was taken away from me (since obviously random community colleges don't have it).
