For PNMs, don’t worry too much about being in a diff sorority from your friends. You can always drop before initiation or keep an open mind and see if you meet anyone cool. Most people remain good friends with people they meet freshman year regardless of which srat they are in, this is def not HS. They often go on to room together in apartments and are not too caught up or even thinking about in “tiers” especially as they have settled in.
