My problem with the whole thing is calling people "top" and "bottom" as if one is better than the other when it's just different. Certain groups tend to attract similar personalities, so they tend to cluster together in "rankings." But a lot of people would not be happy in certain groups even if they are supposedly ranked higher. And there are plenty of negative stereotypes about "top" groups, too, not just "bottom" ones. It would be more informative to have groupings based on certain similar characteristics rather than ranks, tbh. You end up happier picking a group that you fit in with rather than picking a high ranked one to impress others but you have nothing in common with.
