No sorority on campus has a house mother or bed checks. What they do have is strong national support, countrywide alumni suport systems, and rich history. Nobody has to "fit" a national mold anymore than someone has to "fit" the alpha chi mold. Each chapter of a national organization has it's own flavor. But, being on campus has a lot of benefits including use of campus facilities and a lot of oversight to prevent hazing. Just thought I would fact-check this response.
