They are a horrible national fraternity for a few reasons. First the best part of joining my fraternity was the pledge process. The pledge process gave me professional skills, and made me value and respect the fraternities history, traditions, and ideals. Also it gave me a sense of pride that I'm now a member of the greatest fraternity in the country. Lambda Chi Alpha will unfortunately never offer this. And they have a reputation nationally as a GDI frat that people join if they don't get bid or can go through an actual fraternities pledge process. I met a PIKE from the University of Oaklahoma and he said PIKE would go and attend all Lambda Chi meetings weekly because their meetings are all open to the public and must be publically posted. I don't know about you but this sounds like a friendship club or a sorority more than anything. Without a pledge process there is no brotherhood.
