You will learn very quickly that Chapman Greek life is unlike most Greek life communities across the country. It does not matter AT ALL if you are a legacy or have letters of recommendations or have friends in "top" houses. All Chapman sororities are very good at gauging how genuine you are as a person. So even if you are a legacy to a house on campus, the chapter has every right to determine if you are a good fit for their sisterhood, regardless. So many girls go into recruitment thinking they know what they want but that usually ends with heartbreak. That being said, every chapter has a good mix of different kinds of girls. When you are going through recruitment, you will be able to tell which houses you feel comfortable in and which ones you do not. Please don't base this off of anything other than your OWN opinion. That's the only way that you will end up in the house that you most belong in and ultimately will make you happier. The Panhellenic community is extremely supportive. A couple of years ago, two PNM's talked terribly about a specific chapter on their social media and ALL NINE of the chapters dropped them after the first day. So moral of the story, we all have each others' backs. Go with your gut and most importantly, be yourself (and be respectful). Hope this helps.
