I'm very sorry that this has been your experience. Unfortunately what you described can also be encountered in your current or future workplace, in a classroom setting, and even among families. TBH I would suggest staying close to those that you have a close bond with and try to see if your chapter can work on this issue. Perhaps it is something that can be addressed with your chapter adviser. She most likely has suggestions on how to deal with these types of situations. If that doesn't work, see if there is any way in which you can try to focus on the positive that you've mentioned. Good luck to you.
