As for reputations of each fraternity specifically, I would try to make up your mind when you get on campus by going to every fall rush event and talking to the guys in class and at parties. Everyone is biased on this site and is regurgitating old stereotypes, so you won’t get accurate descriptions - honestly, I would say to probably get off of Greek Rank because it’s so negative. But Greek Life in general on Butler’s campus is amazing. It’s unlike any other Greek system that I’m familiar with because of our second semester recruitment process, which is pretty uncommon, but it’s done to allow you to settle into college and classes and make friends first semester while opening you up to meeting Greek students to help you decide if Greek Life is for you.. We want students who come in in August ready to jump into campus life and get involved AND make the grades first semester so we know they’ll cut it when they join a house. Rivalries are minimal because everyone has friends in every other house because of the community Butler builds. Each fraternity has different traits that could make them your home, so make sure you get to know guys in each one during the fall. Same advice for sororities if any future female Dawgs are reading too - don’t let Greek Rank convince you of the reputation of any chapter WITHOUT MEETING PEOPLE WHO ARE ACTUALLY IN IT!
