Here is what I found out.....The Atlanta Midtown planners have unveiled a major proposed transportation project that will dramatically affect campus and both AZD and ZBT chapter houses. The Midtown Connector Transportation Improvement Project (MCTIP) proposed a major revamp of the interstate corridor from 17th Street to below North Avenue to provide more connections across the corridor from Georgia Tech to Midtown and to improve traffic flow in general. This project would cap the interstate over much of Midtown. The one component would extend 6th Street from Midtown to campus using a path that would go right through where the Alpha Xi Delta house is, curve to the north, then curve back to join the campus Sixth Street which will take most of the front yard and part of the ZBT house.
