I know you won't listen if I tell you not to look at rankings so I'd like you to at least keep a few things in mind. 1) Keep an open mind! I went into recruitment set on a certain sorority and was upset when they dropped me. Now that I've been in greek life for awhile, I know that they would have been a terrible fit for me. I also wasn't open-minded about the chapter I did join on the first day. Although, to be fair, I actually still don't like one of the girls I talked to that day but wound up becoming good friends with the girls I talked to the rest of the days. I guess the lesson there is not to judge an entire chapter based on one woman. 2) When you meet the women (I know, that's really far away), try to focus on things like how natural the conversation is and whether or not you can truly see yourself being friends with them, not what you've read on here. 3) Top tier does not mean you'll be happier there. Neither does bottom or middle tier. Tiers have nothing to do with happiness or sisterhood, it's just a high school style popularity hierarchy. I guarantee you that there are happy girls and unhappy girls in each chapter. 4) Try not to put too much stock in the negative or positive reviews posted by and for each chapter. I feel fairly certain that most of the comments and reviews are posted by a handful of girls in each chapter and probably aren't an accurate representation of the chapter. Good luck and we can't wait to meet you!
