even though greek life at BU is fairly small (like 15 percent or less of student population), I would say that it is competitive. not everyone who ends up rushing gets into a sorority, but if you follow through with the process and come in with an open mind, you most likely will end up with your home :) I love greek life at BU because it's definitely more relaxed than greek life in the south, and there's like no hazing (at least from my experiences and from what I heard). the top sororities do kinda go for a specific look, but they are getting to be more diverse over the past few years. girls in the top 5 houses are usually pretty, thin, and dress really cute. the other houses have more diversity in body shape and looks, and they are filled with awesome and lovely girls. the one thing about greek life here is that there are a lot less frats than sororities, so if you aren't in adpi, aphi, DG, aephi, or KD, you will have to go to mixers off-campus. from what I've heard, they can be fun, but to me, it's kinda inconvenient. hope that answers your questions. BU is an awesome school with an awesome community.
