This sometimes happens and you probably aren’t alone!! they should have called you in advance so you didn’t come to bid night correct? It could’ve been that your 2 choices didn’t offer a bid (lots of things go into offering a bid so try not to take it personally which is much easier said than done I know). If you suicide bid it could’ve been a computer error or you didn’t get a bid from that one chapter. Computer errors have happened in the past when suicide bidding, but there isn’t anything you can do about it now besides try to do informal recruitment. I’m sorry it didn’t work out for you this year. There is a lot of behind the scenes stuff that goes into extending a bid and it isn’t as black and white as I thought it was when I went through recruitment. No one person can decide if you get a bid it comes from the whole chapter and is more complicated than it may initially seem!! I hope you try again next year if this is something you are really interested in or do informal recruitment!!
