This is my third year at Boston University and being underage, hanging out at fraternities is pretty common for me. One conclusion I have drawn being around all this time (and reading BU today) is that the quality of the fraternity has little to do with being recognized or "old". I mean, lets not forget the frat that was caught having the kids (who where found in shocking condition) tied in a basement, hazed as hell. Or the sorority who was caught to haze through alcohol abuse. Is that what recognition guarantees for? All I have seen their headquarters doing is making shirts! Damn those people have new shirts every month. I went to OPA for the first time last year (they where living in a different house) and I liked them more than other douchy frats. Their president is the really down to earth and welcoming (he was greeting everyone, including me, at the party). He explained me that he wants to spread the Ancient Greek ideals to Greek life. That's all I have to say, generally I have great respect for people who have a dream and start something of their own (other than finding an existing frat) Who hasn't seen "Old School"...
