Sweethearts are usually voted on by the chapter. Some fraternities like KOT and Kappa Sig want their sweetheart to be from certain top tier sororities. Others pick any sorority girl they are good friends with. The girl picked to be sweetheart gets her picture on the composite with the rest of the Fraternity. The Sweetheart comes to a lot of the chapters functions and in general is their go to girl.
