The best one to join depends on you and who you fit in with. Nothing else really matters. If you're a beta type, then beta is for you. If you're pikapp type, then join pikapp. If kot, then rush kot. Names and tiers aren't as meaningful as finding a good match imo. Find out what qualities you want from a fraternity and March them to your own. Meet the guys and see which ones are cool to you and easy to get along with. People usually end up where they belong. For example, my best friend got a bid from a top tier fraternity but went to a middle tier house because he felt like he wouldnt fit with those guys or the party scene so much. He's happy for it.
