This is a really stupid hang up that I have but, it makes me very frustrated. When people are talking about an airway being blocked, I see far too often that they say “chocking”. This is wrong. Chocking is not the same as choking. They are not interchangeable, they do not mean the same thing. CHOKING: blocking a persons airway to the point where breathing is hindered or impossible. CHOCKING: to prevent the forward movement of a wheel or vehicle with a chock.
