Subject:
rumors are destroying our greek system

Poster Message:
Almost weekly, rumors pop up about a different greek organization doing something stupid. It’s easy to start gossiping and it seems as though people find comfort in believing everything they hear. It’s comfortable because it’s something to talk about, it’s something you may be happy about if you don’t like that particular org, and really, it may just be intriguing to you. I get it. I’m guilty of it, and I know it’s something we do without even thinking about it at this point. Here’s the problem, rumors about fraternities and sororities are not just harmful towards the said organization but to greek organizations as a whole, both in Baylor’s eyes, and in some cases, the national media’s eyes. If you hear something, think about where the information is coming from or consider how the person talking about it could possibly know what’s going on. Think before you speak. Ask questions before you make conclusions. And if you really do love your greek organization, for the love of god, do not spread rumors about things that are not confirmed.
