No! They are not in trouble :) every year, there is a total set for sororities. This means that there is a set number of how many girls they are allowed to have in their sorority. Sigma Kappa, Alpha Xi Delta, and some other sororities already have the total amount of girls they are allowed to have in their chapter, which means that they cannot participate in open recruitment to take in any new girls. The sororities that are having open recruitment, have available spots in their sorority because they are below the amount of people they are allowed to have. If you're interested in Sigma Kappa and Alpha Xi Delta, I would wait and go through structure recruitment which happens in September. You'll get to see all the sororities on campus!
