- continued - Why do I think all the hate is coming from people who have never done greek sing? There's no way anyone who has ever done greek sign can truly put down a show the way the shows on here are being put down. Each sorority has 2 or 3 dancers who give up basically all of their free time for a whole semester to take a bunch of frat guys, confused freshmen, and stressed out upperclassmen, and teach them a 10 minute long dance. They get 50 people, probably 45 of them with no dance background, teach them to dance, sing, act, & perform. They cut music, design costumes, rewrite lyrics, and communicate with countless others to pull their show off. Everyone in it puts in hours, probably so many hours it adds up to days, to put their show together. They come out of practice dripping sweat, they get injured, they conquer stage fright, they miss assignments and study time to help bring the show together. Some shows are better than other, but to tell someone that all the effort they put in was pointless and their show was "boring" and "not that good" is absolutely wrong. Anyone, from any sorority or fraternity who has done greek sing knows this is true. If you're going to have the nerve to bring someone's show down like this, you clearly have never done greek sing and don't know the effort that goes into it. Until you know the work that goes into a show, please do not degrade the work of those who worked so hard this semester.
