Here is a quote from a Chronicle article from 1997. The Admin must be so proud. How could an undergrad see it so clearly but our "leadership" can't? "If fraternities are not on campus, people will seek other options off campus, and the residential social life that has been such a unique part of Duke's tradition for years truly will be gone....Without it, we are just another university....If... we lose the only leg we have up on the Ivy Leagues, Stanford...and others we compete with, we are left with a very sterile, poor imitation of Princeton,"
