Hi, During high school I felt pretty happy, and had lots of friends and we'd do cool stuff and just hang out. I was happy and did a lot of stuff I liked and optimistic about my career and stuff. Now that I went to Duke, it's so different. I feel very unhappy and have been depressed a few times. I got over depression but it just feels like a roller coaster here. Is Duke not for me? Is this environment only for a certain kind of person? I value success and stuff in life, but I feel like I can go to any school and be successful in my career, and it doesn't need to be Duke. Every semester I come here I feel unhappier and unhappier, and it feels like I'm going down just a negative spiral. I'm doing OK, and no longer depressed, but I still feel very down here and am wondering if this is because of Duke, or just me not jiving with this place. Any thoughts? What should I do? Transfer to a different school?
