It'll pass... life goes in waves. I have a friend who went through something similar, and even when things were overall going really well for that friend they just felt hopeless/sad a lot of the time, and this went on for about the length of a semester. they felt like they could never be happy again. Now they're back to their happy, social self. Definitely look into getting help, but also know that you'll feel better and that this isn't permanent.
