That sucks that your friend group is going to do greek life while you're not. I actually never post on here but my friend showed me this site for the first time tonight and I saw this and thought I could help. You probably won't hangout with them much on the weekend at night anymore but if they're willing to ditch you like that then you probably don't want to be friends with them anyway. If you're looking for new people then try joining a club, try rushing to see if you like any of the kids even if you don't plan to join, try talking to people in classes (although this never works), but don't let any of these things consume your life and get to know everyone and give everyone a chance. A big problem at duke is that a lot of people join greek life out of this same fear that you have and then those kids become the only people they ever hangout with. You can have fun without being in greek life and you can have fun being in greek life but don't let either define you and be open to hanging out with everyone even if not everybody is open to hanging out with you.
