Tiers only matter to us in our small Greek social world. They are for our fun and amusement. We enjoy it. Of course Greek chapters vary from school to school but we're only concerned with FSU just like Alabama is only concerned with Alabama. The quality or value of sisterhood is effected by many things. Your question seems to suggest that a member cannot be happy if her sorority is considered TOP. There are folks who assume that a TOP sorority (like DG at FSU) cannot have sisterhood and that the BOTTOM sorority (no name) is flush with the joys of sisterhood because they have nothing else to distract them. You're implying that being in the TOP sorority "compromises your sisterhood and happiness." Maybe being in the TOP sorority makes you proud and happy that you get to associate with TOP women, and have socials with TOP fraternities. I hope this clears it up for you.
