Everyone does. Why would it make a difference if you're a cheerleader or a gymnast? They actually like recruiting cheerleaders and gymnasts because it means you can contribute to the cheers for charity team. Other athletes join too. Getting out of a sorority what it's worth is very time consuming though, especially the first year so it's up to you whether you think you can balance them.
