You can't switch fraternities, even if you resign. All the nationals have an agreement about membership. The only solution is for you transfer to another school and go through rush without telling anyone that you're already an initiated member of a fraternity. If you're a pledge, then you have no problem. Pledging in the summer is not allowed. Pledges taken in the fall are initiated in the fall. Pledges taken in the spring are initiated in the spring.
