Personally I think your nationals has the right idea. Unless there's a really good reason to not take a legacy I think all direct legacies should be accepted. Not as in they had an aunt in the same sorority but different chapter, but if they had a sister or mother in this chapter. It means so much more to them than it does to have to take a couple of girls you wouldn't normally take. To be rejected from a legacy when your whole family is expecting you to join it would be extra hit to the confidence. There's just no sense in it. Plus it's an insult to your sister who's child or sister it is. But for my sorority there is no requirement to accept a legacy, although there are certain stipulations that give them an advantage.
