That was a long time ago, things change. Our greek system has become increasingly competitive, more girls want to rush every year and chapters can only be added so fast. This is the system so that the most girls possible can get bids if they choose to stick it out and give whatever house a chance. I don't feel bad for the girls who dropped because they didn't get the houses they wanted, I feel bad for the girls who were released and would have loved to have given any single of the houses a chance. It's honestly disconcerting to see how concerned you and the other parents on this thread are over the "best houses". Don't care that the houses "looking to fill it's ranks" might have amazing girls and a great sisterhood.
